Bear River State Park

Bear River State Park is located in the extreme southwestern portion of Wyoming. Nature trails are perfect for hiking and inhaling the fresh mountain area. In addition, you can just watch the wildlife go by, such as bison and elk herds, or just relax under a large cottonwood tree. The nearly 300-acre park, which is available for day use only, offers three shelters for events ranging from family reunions to company picnics and weddings. Bear River. Bear River, which was named by early trappers because of the number of bears in the area, provides much-need wetlands for the local wildlife as well as fantastic fishing, especially of Cutthroat Trout. The river is approximately 350 miles and runs through western Wyoming, southeastern Idaho, and northern Utah. The largest tributary of the Great Salt Lake, it drains a mountainous area and farming valleys east of the lake and southwest of the Snake River Plain.  [Top]
